Angie became the Parents Day Out Director in 2009 after moving from Murray, KY to Bowling Green. She enjoys building the bond between parents and church relations and also seeing each child thrive and grow through our program. She is active not only in the PDO program, but also as a CUMC member and as a nursery staff. Angie enjoys traveling, and spending time with her husband, Scott and two sons, Aaron and Mason.
April became Nursery Director in 2007 after enjoying meeting and becoming a member of the church family at CUMC. She is a dedicated child nurturer which also shows through her Parents Day Out teaching position at CUMC. April is from Bowling Green and enjoys swimming, cooking and spending time with her husband, Jeff and two daughters Mea and Madisyn.
Patty joined our staff in 2003, after several years of volunteering with our Children’s Ministry. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with children from infancy through fifth grade. She appreciates being a part of a church that is family-oriented and is grateful to have the opportunity to teach (and learn from!) such wonderful children. It is Patty’s dream to guide the children to a place where they are equipped to handle whatever the world may throw at them, through their salvation & relationship with our Lord.
Jeannie is a 2006 graduate of Asbury University with a B.A. in Missions. She is currently working on a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene University and will graduate this December. Jeannie has done mission work in seven countries on three different continents. She has a passion for equipping people, young and old, to become sold out Disciples of Christ.
OutreachHOTEL INC Helping Others Through Extending Love In the Name of Christ (HOTEL INC) is a locally funded interdenominational organization providing financial assistance and food to those in need in Warren County. HOTEL INC is supported by churches and individuals. CUMC provides financial support and weekly collections of non-perishable food items for their food pantry. Individuals whose health precludes being able to attend church may arrange to have Communion delivered to their residence. Communion stewards Joe Lowe and David Bragg lead this ministry. Please call the church office with your name and location and we will make the necessary arrangements.MEALS Inc.M.E.A.L.S., Inc. is an organization of 14 Bowling Green churches who prepare, pack and deliver a hot meal and other food products to our less fortunate neighbors every Saturday morning. The Meals recipients qualify for the program based on need due to lack of finances, age and/or health issues which prevent them from being able to purchase and/or prepare their own food. This ministry affords the CUMC volunteers to work and fellowship together outside the church. It provides us an opportunity to serve the Lord by serving others.

Josh Wicker is a husband, father and follower of Christ. As a worship leader and songwriter he has had the privilege of using his talents over the years to point people to Jesus around the world. Josh joined the team in 2010 and enjoys leading worship and serving the students and young adults as their pastor. On any given day you will find Josh stealing hugs and kisses from his daughter, Brooklynn, and enjoying the sweet gift of time with Allison, his wife. Adult MinistryWomen’s Bible StudyIn the Fall and Spring each year, women of all ages gather together to participate in a women’s bible study at 5:30 pm on Sunday evenings. Facilitated by Amy Tylicki and Brenda Roberts, these video guided studies last anywhere from 6- 12 weeks, depending on the study selected. Each study has an accompanying workbook with five daily lessons. Studies written by well known teachers such as Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur have guided and continue to guide the ladies through scripture and provided them with ways to apply it to their lives. Come and join the ladies as they continue to be amazed by God’s ability to transform their hearts and provide them the opportunity to fellowship with other women.MenThe United Methodist Men meet the 2nd Saturday of each month, at 8:00 am at Panera Bread on Campbell Lane. We gather for coffee, fresh bakery items, a short devotional and great fellowship.United Methodist Adult Fellowship (UMAF)Monthly activities for adults held during daytime hours. Attendees volunteer to plan an activity: trips to museums, botanical gardens, etc., and of course, LUNCH! Join us for food and fellowship with other Christians. Events are announced in the CUMC monthly newsletter and weekly church bulletins.United Methodist Women (UMW)All women are welcome; church membership not required. Join us as your schedules allow. Regular meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at the church (no July meeting). Prayer Shawl Ministry (participants knit or crochet items which are given to those needing comfort) at 9 am. Unit Meeting and Program (business meeting and program with focus on missions) at 10 am. Lunch is hosted by two members at 11:30 am (no charge). Cookbook sales and catered meals are available. Our Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar is held the 2nd Saturday of November featuring bakery, rummage, silent auction and over 40 vendor booths. Breakfast and lunch is also served. All proceeds go to missions.

Deloris retired in 2002 as technical college administrator in Georgia after 29 years and moved back to her hometown with her husband Don. She has been employed since 2003 as the administrative assistant. She and her husband, both graduates of WKU, are active in the sanctuary choir and Potpourri Sunday School Class.
David was born in McAllen, Texas along the Mexican border. He grew up in a Methodist parsonage in the Rio Grande Conference and is fluent in the Spanish language. David is a graduate of Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary and has served as pastor in churches in Texas and Kentucky. David was appointed senior pastor to Christ United Methodist in June 2006.

YOUTHSunday night is an exciting time of games, food and bible study. The Family Life Center is opened at 5:15 pm for students (6-12 grades) to come and enjoy sports and hanging out. We officially get kicked off at 5:30 with a light dinner followed by high energy games and biblical teaching that is relevant and applicable to teenagers. Small groups are intentionally geared for a more in-depth Bible study built around conversation in a “living room” type environment. This approach allows our students to have deeper discussions about what we are learning, and closer relationships with our incredible adult student leaders. Come out and join us at 5:15p for a fast and easy on the budget dinner and then stick around for small groups at 6:00p.
Contemporary WorshipThrough the use of modern music, media and community; the contemporary service gathers weekly to express our thanks and adoration to our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
