In an attempt to build community during the coronavirus pandemic, we have combined our traditional and contemporary worship services into one blended service.
If you are comfortable worshipping in person, we are taking every precaution to join together safely and joyfully. Masks are required, temperature is taken at the door, every person is registered as having attended, and families sit together in socially distanced groups.
If you are staying safe at home, we invite you to join us online, drop a comment in the chat so we know you are there, and worship along with us at home.
As we re-open the doors of the church, we know that things look different. We will need to adjust and adapt as the situation continues to unfold. But whatever the format and however we gather, our primary goal is to lift high the name of Jesus and collectively take one step closer to Him. We’ll do it together.
NOTE: Our 8:45am Traditional Worship Service is currently suspended.
Our Traditional Worship Service begins at 8:45 am in the Sanctuary each Sunday and lasts about one hour. Together we glorify God through liturgy and music. Our choir leads the singing and typically sings the call to worship and the offertory. Our preaching team is lead by our senior pastor, but also includes retired clergy from our congregation. The sermon is the same at both the traditional and the contemporary service. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month.
This service may feel relatively formal but it is not stuffy. The choir wears robes and the organ allows us to lift our voices fully to God. We use simple projection but also use hymnals, pew Bibles, and bulletins with an order of service. People may dress up for this service but it is not required: it is our hope that you will mostly see smiling, friendly faces to welcome you.
Children are always welcome in the service. Nursery care is provided and children are invited forward for a children’s sermon.
We desire to be a community that gathers together primarily to worship God together and to be changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that our services are one way for you to be connected to God and connected to one another.
NOTE: Our 11am Contemporary Worship is currently suspended.
Our Contemporary Worship Service begins at 11am and is held in the Family Life Center. It typically lasts 75 minutes. The praise band leads us in singing together in praise of Jesus: we gather to participate in honoring God together. Our preaching team is lead by our senior pastor, but also includes retired clergy from our congregation. The sermon is typically the same at both the traditional and the contemporary service. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month.
You can expect a more informal feeling to this service. We vary our stage design throughout the year and we use visuals to enhance our worship. You will see people in dressy clothes and others in jeans. Above all, we hope that you will see smiling and welcoming faces.
Children are always welcome in the service. Children age 3 through 2nd grade are dismissed around 11:15 to ROCK (Reaching Out to Christ’s Kids). Nursery care is available.
We strive to create an environment where anyone will feel welcome and all will be encouraged to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We pray that our services are one way for you to be connected to God and connected to one another.
Note that the choir is suspended indefinitely in response to COVID-19.
Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm with prayer from 8:00-8:15ish.
Sundays 8:15 (sharp!)
Traditional service: 8:45am
Most Sundays, we sing the call to worship, lead the congregational singing, and present an offertory anthem.
We always have an extra folder prepared with music for newcomers and a robe ready to wear. We’d love to have you!
Our praise band exists to passionately and creatively lead the Body of Christ in an authentic response to all God has revealed Himself to be, actively using the gifts of our body to influence the world for the glory of God.
