Christ Church Music

The mission of the music ministry at Christ Church is
to worship God passionately, to strive for excellence in ministry (music, sound, lights, projection, speaking), and to create an environment that encourages congregants to participate in worship, unhindered by distraction, and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Our Music Teams

Sanctuary Choir

Our adult choir rehearses every Wednesday 7:00-8:15 pm and is open to ages 12 and up.

We meet at 8:15am on Sunday mornings to warm up for the traditional service. We sing the call to worship and an offertory anthem and lead the hymns along with the organ and piano.

Praise Band

Our praise team rehearses every Wednesday evening 8:00-10:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 9:15. We typically are comprised of acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, and vocalists.

Handbells

Our handbell choir meets seasonally to perform in services, usually in August, in December, and near Easter. We also have smaller ensembles and duos that perform at other moments throughout the year.

Youth Choir and Band

A few times a year, we gather our musically-inclined youth to help us lead worship.

Our youth choir runs seasonally and often meets Sunday afternoons at 4pm.

Our youth band usually leads worship in our contemporary service 3-4 Sundays per year and rehearses seasonally on Sunday evenings 7:00-8:30pm.

Children's Choir and Musical

Every December, our children aged 3 years old through 5th grade present a Christmas musical. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings during our contemporary service.

We also gather a kid’s choir at various other times in the year for special services.
