David was born in McAllen, Texas along the Mexican border. He grew up in a Methodist parsonage in the Rio Grande Conference and is fluent in the Spanish language. David is a graduate of Asbury College and
Asbury Theological Seminary
and has served as pastor in churches in Texas and Kentucky. David was appointed senior pastor to Christ United Methodist in June 2006.
