Sunday School

10:00 - 11:00 AM

Sunday School is a vibrant part of life at Christ Church and the best way to get connected with other people in the church. Classes for all ages meet every Sunday between services from 10:00am-11:00am. Nursery is available during this time.

Youth

Adult Sunday School Classes

Potpourri

The Potpourri class is made up of class members ranging in age from 50 something to 80 something. We are from all walks of life and enjoy spending time together each Sunday morning studying the word of God. Linda Tidwell teaches our class by sharing scripture and helping us to apply it to our everyday lives. Our class is very interactive and enjoys discussing our views with each other. We gather outside of Sunday School various times of year for cookouts, and dinner parties. We welcome you to join a fun loving group of people who love the Lord and each other.

J.O.Y.

Jesus, Others, Yourself. The JOY Class is for all ages and studies scripture based on specific topics. They support the Methodist Children’s Home and the Foundry. They enjoy social time together outside the class; laugh, cry and pray together. JOY welcomes anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus.

Dorsey

Named for a pioneer of Christ Church and the first teacher, George Dorsey, the Dorsey class contains the most senior members of the congregation. The class’s primary focus is the study of the Bible, using prescribed curriculum, with discussion among class members.  The class supports the Methodist Children’s Home and the Salvation Army with weekly donations.

Journey

The Journey class is made up of parents (and parents-to-be) who are raising children. This class does various outreach projects with our neighbors like backyard VBS, Christmas caroling, and delivering school supplies. Join us as we find joy in the journey!

Young Adult

Join 20-somethings as we study the Word of God and process together how it applies to our lives.

Sunday School Swap

On the 5th Sunday of the month, we encourage mixing of our Sunday School classes! As people arrive for Sunday School, we assign them to a new classroom for the day. This provide an opportunity for people to meet new friends from other Sunday School classes and to develop cross-generational relationships.
