Reaching Out to Christ's Kids

ROCK meets on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month from 11:00 - 12:00 noon.  Don't miss the fun!   All children between the ages of 3 years and 5th grade are welcome to come to our R.O.C.K. meetings.  If you haven't come before, give it a try.

Teaching your children is not just bringing Bible stories to life.  It's planting the message of the Bible in their hearts where it will change the way they process the events of their lives.  The lesson matters and the activities are important, however, above all, we must remember the power of three words - "I love you."  Thank you for sharing your children with us.

Parents are always welcome to attend and participate in our children's programs.

About our Children's Ministry

The children's ministry at Christ UMC seeks to build a faith foundation for children by guiding them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  ROCK works to provide them with the background to experience Jesus every day.   They worship God, recognize the Bible as God's Word and understand salvation.  They are given the opportunities to be a friend, pray for others and be Christ-like examples.   The children who attend come to think of church as fun and exciting.  We endeavor to help them to learn what matters most in life, to learn to make good decisions, to understand their purpose and to experience joy.  We teach them to learn to listen to Jesus' voice and to know that God hears them and speaks to them.  We help prepare them to face the challenges of our world and to trust in God.   The program is designed such that each week's activities build on lessons taught during the preceding weeks.  Our most pressing need is for the children of our church to participate in our activities on a regular basis.  Please make it a priority to have your child here for all of our meetings.
